ABSTRACT WORKS

These expressive compositions were the spontaneous result of much experimentation and art-making.  Using a variety of materials and reacting to the natural flow of water and pigment, abstraction of forms were created.

My intent was to reveal an energy from the subject matter.  And my hope is that the viewer experiences the energy and is left with a shift in perspective.

In these four paintings, rich juxtapositions of powerful waves are depicted with delicately layered glowing colours.

The pieces are meant to explore how strength and fragility exist together within us, as we move, grow, change, flow.
